Tim Lawn Inducted into IATL

Timothy R. Lawn of Raynes & Lawn was recently inducted into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL) at their Mid-Year Meeting, held this summer.

The IATL limits membership to 500 fellows from across the United States. For the designation, the organization seeks out only those who have achieved a career of excellence through demonstrated skill and ability in jury trials, trials before the court and appellate practice. A comprehensive screening process identifies the most distinguished members of the trial bar by means of both peer and judicial review. Lawn, having been evaluated by colleagues and judges in his jurisdiction, came highly recommended as possessing such qualifications and characteristics.

Chartered in 1954, the IATL works to cultivate the science of jurisprudence, promote reforms in the law, facilitate the administration of justice, and elevate the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession.

Lawn is devoted – through his law practice and in his community work – to helping those who have suffered serious injury or death. He is the 2018-2019 president of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and has held several other leadership positions in the legal profession over the past two decades. He is chair of the Dave Palmer Memorial Foundation, a charity he founded in 1992 to provide financial assistance to children who have lost a parent to an untimely death, and is also a member of the board of directors of Frankie’s World Foundation, a daycare provider for children with medical needs in North Philadelphia.
