JOE TRAUB ASKED TO WRITE AN “AMICUS CURIAE BRIEF” BY THE PA ASSOCIATION FOR JUSTICE TO THE SUPERIOR COURT OF PENNSYLVANIA

Joe Traub was asked by the Pennsylvania Association for Justice to write and submit a legal brief, known as an “Amicus Curiae Brief” to the Superior Court of Pennsylvania to persuade the court to protect the rights of Pennsylvanians to have counsel of their own choosing represent them in civil litigation. The underlying case, which does not involve our firm, involved defendants who are commercial builders, seeking to disqualify the law firm representing dozens of homeowners in defective construction lawsuits for claimed discovery disputes. Joe

argued that a person’s right to choose their own attorney is strongly protected under Pennsylvania law, and lawyers should only be disqualified under exceptional circumstances. Raynes & Lawn was proud to share Joe’s talents and legal acumen with the statewide Plaintiffs’ attorney organization.
